Rediscover postpartum care rooted in generations of maternal wisdom
It’s believed that the first 40 days after birth shape the next 40 years of your life.
Your bespoke postpartum experience
The word ‘postpartum’ might evoke images in your mind of milk-stained pyjamas, maternity pads the size of your arm, and the sight of yet another lonesome sunrise peaking through your bedroom curtains.
It doesn’t have to be this way.
When you invite me to support you during your postpartum window, you can expect:
-
Get to know me in the comfort of your own home
Create a detailed plan for your postpartum care
Decide which holistic therapies you’d like
Establish a postpartum nourishment plan
Teach me how to keep your household running while you rest (e.g how to use your washing machine!)
Help older children and pets become familiar with me
-
Step into postpartum knowing support is already in place.
I’ll be ready to join you as soon as possible after you give birth
If baby decides on an earlier or later birth day, I will of course make appropriate adjustments to my calendar!
-
All tailored to exactly what you need each day:

Each one of my postpartum support sessions is completely bespoke, shaped around what you need that day.
Across three hours in your home, I might prepare a nourishing meal, run a beautiful herbal bath for you to relax, support you to find a comfortable breastfeeding position, and do a full clean of the kitchen while you nap.
Perhaps we’ll spend time talking through your birth, followed by giving you a gentle massage, rounding the session off by helping your partner to master the baby carrier. When I get home, I might text you a list of the local services you asked me about, and send you a voice note for you to listen to when you’re feeling lonely feeding the baby at 3am.
You might even wish for me to accompany you to a medical appointment, such as your 6-week check. I’ll carry the baby carseat into the building, so that you don’t strain your pelvic floor. I’ll keep copious notes, so that you don’t miss a thing. And once we get back to your house, I’ll make sure you eat a nutrient-dense meal before tucking you into bed for a midday snooze.

Currently my postpartum support extends to families in Canterbury, and families within a 30-minute ride on public transport.
This includes: Ashford, Faversham, Dover, Margate, Wye, Whitstable, Shepherdswell and nearby locations.

My support-philosophy centres around the mother-baby dyad as being the focus of my support during the early days, weeks, and months postpartum. I am happy to support with newborn care that prioritises your unique parent-baby bond, and helps you lean into your intuition and confidence as a parent.
I can support with:
Your breastfeeding journey
Washing and sterilizing equipment for infant feeding
Nappy changes
Holding baby so that you can rest
Supporting you to understand your baby’s cues
Teaching you simple baby massage
I am not able to provide ‘night nanny’ services whereby care of your baby is passed on to me. I can support you as parents to respond to your baby’s needs, including at night time. If you need to start the night off, or take a nap, without worrying about your baby, I would be happy to hold them (probably while prepping you a nourishing snack for when you wake!)
I am not able to feed your baby for you or fill/prepare bottles.
-
No, I do not give medical advice. I provide mother-centred holistic, practical, and emotional support during the early days, weeks, and months postpartum. This might include signposting to medical services outside of my scope of practice, or making you aware of anything I notice that could need medical attention.
If you are concerned about any medical aspect of your postpartum recovery, please contact your GP, midwife, or health visitor.

All of my support, including in-person and over WhatsApp, is included in the price of each package.
Families who wish to explore herbal support or nourishment support will need to purchase their own plants and foods. I will provide shopping lists and source unusual items if that’s helpful.
For massage, I’ll provide a selection of natural oils, included in my pricing packages. I will also provide any tools associated with any bodywork, breathwork, or somatic practices (such as pillows, foot baths, candles, etc.)

Most families like to book postpartum support while still pregnant so that you can guarantee priority in my diary.
Booking in advance gives us plenty of time to get to know one another, so that you can fully relax while I’m in your home.
Booking while pregnant also means we can use two, 2-hour planning sessions to create a bespoke postpartum plan that covers everything from what you want to eat, what holistic therapies you’ll enjoy, to how your dishwasher works and where the cat food is kept.
However, if you find yourself with a newborn and needing extra support, please do get in touch. Instead of two, 2-hour planning sessions, this will be absorbed into one postpartum support session added onto your package. It’s likely that your first session with me will be more getting-to-know-you than hands-on support.

Of course. Postpartum after a loss is still postpartum, and mothers need dedicated, kind, nurturing care. You can book postpartum care after an unexpected loss, the same as if you were booking after any other birth. Instead of two, 2-hour planning sessions, this will be absorbed into one postpartum support session added onto your package.
Bespoke support, exactly when you need it
The beauty of inviting a postpartum doula to support you, is that I can be who you need exactly when you need it.
Need someone to help clean the aftermath of a homebirth? And then someone to massage your tense shoulders? And if the same person could also explain normal infant feeding AND make you a nourishing herbal drink?
That’s not the job of a cleaner, or a masseuse, or a breastfeeding counsellor, or a personal chef.
That’s a postpartum doula. That’s exactly what I do!
Not sure if postpartum support is right for you?
Book a no-obligation call and we can chat about it.
No pressure to commit, just exploring your options!
